SAFED Training                  

What is SAFED?

The Safe and Fuel Efficient Driving (SAFED) programme was designed by a consortium of leading industry specialists to help drivers improve their safe and fuel efficient driving techniques.

The programme demonstrated the following benefits:

.  Average fuel savings of 10.01%

.  Average gear change reductions of 36.90%

.  Reduced CO2 emissions

.  Increased defensive driving skills

To take part in SAFED Training you must:

.  Drive for an aggregate company based in England or be resident in England

.  25% of your transport activity involves transporting qualifying aggregates

.  Hold a valid driving licence including Category C or Category C + E entitlements

.  Undertake the training in a vehicle fitted with fuel-monitoring equuipment

There is no charge to drivers from small companies. Drivers from medium-sized companies who provide their own truck also receive training free of charge.  A small fee applies to other applicants.

We are able to offer this training anywhere in England.

This training will also be available in Wales even though Wales is not included in the free scheme. Please contact us for further information and costs.
